Books & Company GO HOME!

Positive Economic News!

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, there’s a tiny ray
of hope for Prince George. While layoffs and staff cuts are the order of the day across the continent, Books and Company has not laid off a single employee!. Not one! While this may come as a surprise to many, it is, in fact, the truth. Oh sure, owner Jim Brinkman has had to make some adjustments. He currently coasts his truck down the hill into town, and uses much less dishwashing detergent, sometimes going two or three days without washing the dishes. He’s also been known to use the coffee left over at Cafe Voltaire at the end of the day to heat the store. Through these measures, Jim has managed to keep all his staff. His greatest fear is that if things continue the way they seem to be, Books and Company will soon be Prince George’s largest employer. If this ends up being the case, He promises he will go after some of that infrastructure money and build the worlds biggest coffee mug for Mr PG because, after all, Mr PG is looking pretty cold and lonely out there these days, isn’t he?
